Losacero 25 is a galvanized steel composite floor deck used to construct concrete floor slabs and roof slabs. It is a profiled steel sheet with a 2.5 in (63.5 mm) depth and an effective coverage width of approximately 36 in (91.4 cm). The steel deck works together with the concrete to form a composite slab.

Description

• Manufactured from structural galvanized steel.
• The longitudinal embossments/ribs provide a mechanical bond between the steel deck and concrete.
• The deck serves as permanent formwork (shoring/form) during concrete placement.
• Once the concrete has cured, the steel deck also contributes as positive flexural reinforcement.
• Typical available gauges include 18, 20, 22, and 24, although gauge 24 is not included by the Steel Deck Institute for composite-slab applications.
• It can reduce construction time because conventional wood formwork can often be eliminated, reducing labor and temporary equipment requirements
